Another month, another liquid lipstick! Someone’s got to do these reviews for you, right? I actually ended up ordering these lipsticks after my friend Sheila’s order turned up at the office and I instantly got online and placed my order. I was immediately sold on the colours and light-weight feel of the back-of-the-hand swatches we took – it was a no-brainer. That should tell you something.
They all come in a luxe feeling perspex tube and (nice)plastic lid. I love the doe-foot applicator, which in my opinion is the best kind of applicator for a liquid lipstick and it gives you enough surface to wipe the product on in the fewest number of swipes (therefore minimising streaking), but still has a tip to apply the lipstick with precision around the rim of your lips.
There’s a whopping 15 shades available. I picked up three shades:
- Shade 02 Burgundy – beautiful plum-aubergine colour
- Shade 03 Burnt Umber – unique dark brown with red undertones (the camera is making this look more red than brown, but it’s the other way round)
- Shade 12 Rose Valet – gorgeous dusty pink (perfect for a nude lip if you pair it with a brown lip liner)
They all dry down a little bit darker than when they first swatch (see below). Trust me if you need any colour in your life it’s 02 Burgundy, I find it really unique.
As I mentioned above the formula is lovely and lightweight, and you get a good few hours of wear time before it starts fading away. Honestly, for KES 329 each, I can’t fault these! Grab yours from Kilimall.
